Requirements for schengen visa application
These countries are taking part of the Schengen agreement: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden & Switzerland.
If you are planning to visit several of these countries, you should apply for a visa to the country where you are going to spend most of the time.
The visa is valid in all Schengen states, which means you are free to travel within the Schengen area, for the time authorized.

At the time of application, you should personally present the following documents:
- A visa application form duly completed and signed by the applicant & the family appendix D.
- One photo, passport size, full-face, color with light background & recently taken.
- A passport with copies of all pages with stamps or other travel document valid for at least three months beyond your stay in Sweden. The passport should have at least two blank pages.
- A Chilean identification for foreigners with a legal residence or a photocopy of the passport where the proof of the residence is inserted.
- Copy of reservation of return ticket
- An individual travel medical insurance policy that provides coverage for, emergency physician care, urgent hospital care and travel to your native country for medical reasons. The policy must cover expenses up to 30,000 euros and be valid in all Schengen countries. You do not have to show the policy until you pick up your visa.

- Work contract or certificate from the employer, with personal dates, type of work and time of duration.
- Hotel reservation, itinerary.
- Documents that show proof of sufficient funds to cover stay in Sweden (bank accounts, credit cards etc. covering the last threes months).
For business visa
- Work contract or certificate from employer with personal dates, type of work, time of duration and proof of sufficient funds (covering the last three months).
- Documents that show proof of sufficient funds to cover stay in Sweden (bank accounts, credit cards etc. covering the last threes months).
- Invitation letter from the Swedish company inviting with specified motive and duration of stay.
- A Certificate of Registration (Registerbevis, Skatteverket) from the company that is inviting.
- Hotel reservation.
